The Bloomfield Citizens Council Initiative
Morrow Park sign designation was placed at Baum Boulevard and Liberty Avenue. Bloomfield’s only WWII monument was placed at this site known as the Gateway to the 8th Ward. In 1922 the Park was named for Eustes Morrow, Pittsburgh City Controller 40 years, who resided on Liberty Avenue.

Bloomfield was Annexed to the City of Pittsburgh in 1868. The location of this sign at Baum Boulevard and Cypress Street help define the borders between sister neighborhoods of Bloomfield and Shadyside (the other side of Center Avenue) while elaborating about an important part of history.

The Baum Boulevard Historic Auto Row Bloomfield signage at Baum Boulevard and Morewood Avenue reminds residents and visitors the role Bloomfield played in auto manufacturing. Ford and Hudson maintained factories making auto parts at peace time and military vehicles during WWII.
